Javad Khavarian, MD, 86 of Holmdel died on Monday, April 18.
Dr. Khavarian was born May 24, 1935 in Shiraz, Iran to the late Dr. Mohammed and Heshmat Khavarian. He was raised in Shiraz as the eldest of eight children and attended Shiraz University School of Medicine. During his Medical Internship in Shiraz, he met the love of his life Parvin who would later become his wife and life partner of 58 years. He married Parvin in 1964 and they moved to the United States shortly thereafter where he would pursue specialty training in the field of Orthopedic Surgery at Jersey City Medical Center. Along the way he and his wife had 2 sons and they ultimately settled down in Monmouth County where he established private practice and raised his family. He ran a very successful solo practice that spanned a career or 50 remarkable years. He served as a staff orthopedic surgeon at Bayshore Medical Center from 1972 and established himself as one of the most respected and beloved doctors in the medical community.
Javad was devoted to both his career and his family. He loved gardening and nature, and especially loved animals. He enjoyed social events and would always be seen on the dance floor at parties and celebratory gatherings. Javad was fond of classical Iranian music and had a talent for playing the violin. Most of all, Javad loved spending time with family.
