Jeanne A. Nappi, of Fort Lauderdale, FL. And Tinton Falls NJ, died on Monday, July 4th at the age of 85.
She was born in 1937 to the late James J. and Margaret Birmingham in New Brunswick and, was raised in South Amboy. Jeanne graduated from St. Mary’s High School where she met, Ralph, her husband of 56 years. Before getting married, she attended St. Peter’s Nursing School.
Jeanne loved to trace her family’s genealogy, practice calligraphy and served as a longstanding volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Jeanne spent time traveling the world with her husband and family. She loved opera music and was an avid fan of Luciano Pavarotti.
Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved to cook for everyone. Her family always looked forward to Sunday dinners and Holiday gatherings at the family home.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph, Sr. and her children Jeanne Ellen, James J., and Marian.
Surviving are her children Ralph, Jr. and his wife Theresa, Antoinette, and Mark and his wife Nichole, and four grandchildren Ralph III and his wife Kathleen, Mary, Anthony and his wife Marie and Nicholas, and five great grandchildren Hannah, Victoria, Isabella, Giuliana, and Alexandra.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11th from 5pm – 8pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 12th at 11:00 am at St. Gabriel’s RC Church, 100 North Main Street, Marlboro. Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
