Bonners, Dick & Joan were church family to me bc I served at Sunday Mass with them at St. Gabriel’s Parish in Marlboro. How I so admired their togetherness,; especially, their living Christian faith whenever they approached the altar as a couple to read scripture from the pulpit. Together, a Trinity effort of praise was made when my turn to sing psalm tones in between their readings would take place. Their voiced emotion and humility, in word, brought scripture to life for many “hearts” in attendance to ponder and revel in. How I , once, remember slipping Joan’s husband, Dick, my own set of “cheater” eyeglasses when it became apparent that he had forgotten his own pair as he searched his breast pocket , from the pulpit, midway, through his first-sentence of epistle oratory! 🎶Love Divine All Loves Excelling🎶 attunes my “fun with Dick & Joan. “. Bless them for developing their individual God-given gifts, that also gave us family to appreciate. “God’s peace and strength remain and live within us, all. 🙏✝️⚓️❤️🙏

Some of my favorite childhood memories of “Aunt Joan” are of how welcoming and fun she was when me and my brothers visited The Bonners in NJ. She was also a good friend to my own mother. You were all so lucky to have a Mom like Aunt Joan.
