Joan C. Fiumefreddo, 87, of West End, died peacefully in her home on January 29,2022.  She was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and with her husband Charles raised their family before moving to West End, NJ when he retired.  Joan was an alumnus of Bayonne High School.

Joan was the beloved wife of the late Charles A. Fiumefreddo to whom she was married to for 65 years.  She was predeceased by her parents Stella and Thomas Kuczynski.  Surviving is her sister-in-law Lucia Tarasiewicz, daughter & son-in-law Joanne Fiumefreddo Lewicki & Michael Lewicki, son & daughter-in-law Charles Fiumefreddo III and Patricia Fiumefreddo. She also has six grandchildren Jonathan & Lynne Lewicki, Marc & Corrie Lewicki, Matthew Lewicki, Michelle & Eric Bregman, Charles IV & Anthony Fiumefreddo and four great grandchildren Natalie, Luke, Cole & Jake Lewicki.

Visitation 9:15 am until mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s RC Church, 800 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch, NJ on Thursday February 3rd. A livestream of Joan’s service will be available on her page of tributes at www.woolleyboglioli.com.

This truly is an END OF AN ERA, for me. We first met in the 60’s on Plaza Court in Elberon, As Neighbors. My partner of 50 Years, Roger & I were welcomed into their Family and had the pleasure of watching them raise Joann & Charles, Jr. After then they moved to the Cove and remained wonderful Friends. Charlie & Joan were so generous sharing their life resources. When I retired I started a Limo Service and had to pleasure of driving Charlie to his Office in NY, but the best rides, involved driving him to a Jersey City Restaurant where Charlie would pick-up the Jesuit President if St. Peter’s University and being with him at the restaurant where Charlie would meet about a 6 future students he gifted 4 years of Tuition, every year. My final contacts with this beautiful couple was attending mass conducted by Fr. John Butler, in their beautiful Apartment at the Cove. After they left Bayonne, they never strayed more than a few blocks from St. Michael’s,, their entire life. What a wonderful privilege to have been a part of this journey.
