Joan D. Wiseman, 87, of Bernardsville, NJ passed away on Wednesday August 29th, 2018 in Holmdel, NJ. Born in Point Pleasant, NJ, Joan resided in Bernardsville in the home that she and her late husband had purchased in the 1970’s.
Joan was a master gardener and active volunteer with the Rutgers cooperative extension project. A career woman, she was a medical researcher for more than 40 years, the last 20 of which were with Becton Dickinson of Franklin Lakes, NJ. A valued employee, she was awarded several patents for innovative diagnostic techniques.
Joan was pre-deceased by her parents, Joseph and Helen Dunn and by her husband, Donald Wiseman. She is survived by her step-children: Linda and her husband Richard Orriss of Colts Neck, NJ; Lois and her husband Eli Tannous of Milford, PA; Loretta and her husband Tony Delatorre of Ogdensburg, NJ; and Donald Lee Wiseman and his wife Maureen of Bushkill, PA.
Visitation will be on Tuesday September 4, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ.
