Stan Baranowski A few years back, being a pond lover myself,I mentioned to Joel that my son Shannon asked me to help him install a pond and all he needed were some fish. Joel responded, bring him over to my pond, whatever you can catch you can keep. Well what a generous offer,so my son , granddaughter and myself arrived and met Joel who had a large bag with bread and bagels to bait the fish for netting. After an hour we all laughed as we could not catch a one, they were just too fast. That day was just one day of many others that he showed what a great guy he was.

My heart is heavy and I wish I could have given you one more hug!! I never told you, but when we moved to NC, I made sure I brought with me some of the rocks and plants you gave me. Rest in peace dear friend, you won't be forgotten!! Teresa M.

A true gentleman who would help anyone in need. It's been many, many years since I met Joel and his Boys on a construction site in Holmdel. We used to call him Gramps. A man with a heart of gold and a smile on his face. RIP Joel, may you fly with the Angels.........

During one's life we encounter many people. Some leave an impression that will last a blink of an eye Some will leave an impression that will last a lifetime, maybe longer. That was Joel. Joel was a hard working kind hearted individual. He would give you the shirt off his back . If you ever needed something, he was there to help. Unfortunately, his last years was hard on him. Failing health and pressure from local authorities led to his demise. I was fortunate to know Joel and his family for many years. Joel is what we call "old school" One of the greatest privileges in my life is learning from the old schoolers MY friend, may you rest in peace. My deepest condolences to the family Bill Verange Lincroft

Joel was a very dear and carry friend. You could always count on him. If you had an emergency or just needed something done,, he was there for you. One thing I will always remember is when I got too close to my new house back filling around my foundation, I believe it was on Thanksgiving, my skid steer got stuck against the foundation. My friend Joel came right over with his big front-loader and was able to put my skid steer in the bucket of his machine and lift it away from my house. You are not only going to be missed by many of your loved ones and friends, but also your many Koi's in your beautiful pond. I hear there is a new caretaker of all the koi ponds in Heaven. You will be t\truly missed. Rest in peace my friend. Tommy & Carol Gialanella
