Joseph J. Huber Jr. CPA, Esq., 60 of Holmdel passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

Joseph was born in Elizabeth and raised in Mountainside, NJ. He graduated from Rutgers University and furthered his education at Seton Hall Law School. After law school, he began his career at Deloitte and in 2010 he joined J.M. Huber’s Corporate Finance Team as Vice President of Tax. Joseph married the love of his life, Lisa, in 1990 and the two moved to Hazlet before settling in Holmdel to raise their beautiful family.

To those who had the honor of knowing him, he was Joe and to his childhood friends, he was Bepe – a man who was kind, generous and unique. Joe shared his breath of knowledge and provided support without expectations of anything in return. A father, husband, brother, son and uncle, Joe devoted himself to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, niche history facts, love for all sports, Jimmy Buffet and being a man of honor.

Joseph is predeceased by his father Joseph J. Huber and his sister Heidi Huber.

Joseph is survived by his wife Lisa Huber; his children Joseph and Madison Huber; his mother Norma Huber; his sister Norma Huber, Jr. and her son Andrew Huber; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be Tuesday, October 11th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel. A mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday October 12th at 10:00 AM at St. Benedicts RC Church, 165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel. Per the family’s request, entombment will be held privately after the services.

In lieu of traditional remembrances, the family has requested donations in memory of Joseph be made to the  K-9 Sergeant Denny Project, which is part of Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II Memorial Fund.  Donations may be mailed to Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 124, Adelphia, NJ 07710 or online http://runwithdennis.org/donate/ – specifying it is for the K-9 Sergeant Denny Project.

So sorry to hear of Joes passing. I remember spending our few hours of free time together when we were both in college, watching hockey and shooting the breeze, and visiting bars. I remember one time I was trying to get him to go out with me and have a beer and he was hemming and hawing and I fell asleep while we were on the phone! I guess I wasn’t really up to going out. It was good to see him again when Mike got married and you opened your home for a reception. He was a great friend, he will be missed.
