Joseph K. Borg, 73 of Manalapan, died at his home on Friday, March 29th.
He was born and raised on Staten Island. Following high school, Joe became a New York City Police officer, where he retired after 15 years of service. In 1994 Joe and his wife Fran and their children moved to Manalapan, where they are parishioners of St. Thomas More RC Church.
Joe was an avid fan of the New York Jets. He also enjoyed supporting the New York Knicks and the New York Yankees. He was very handy and could fix most anything and enjoyed taking care of his yard. His favorite movie was “It’s a Wonderful Life” and he loved watching police movies and shows. He was a fan of the Beach Boy’s and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Joe loved being with family and looked forward to all the holidays along with family birthday get togethers.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Frances Mastropasqua Borg; their children, Joseph K. Borg, Jr., Manalapan, Vincent and his wife Rebecca Borg, Aberdeen, Michael and his wife Stefanie Borg, Manalapan and Anthony Borg, Manalapan; his brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Patty Borg, Palm Coast, Fl.; his brother-in-law Bob Siani; his sister-in-law Margaret Borg; ten grandchildren, Joey and his fiancée Libby, Anthony, Justin, Brianna, Gianna, Olivia, Sienna, Sofia, Michael and Jackson; two great grandchildren, Arielle and Joey, Jr.
Visitation, Wednesday, April 3rd, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial , Thursday, April, 4th at 10 am at St. Thomas More RC Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan. Cremation services will be private following the funeral mass.
