I am very sorry to hear about Karen. I went to St. John Vianney graduating in 1981 and also Villanova graduating in 1985. I remember a very nice person who always had a nice smile. We had our 40 year Villanova. Reunion a couple of weeks ago and Karen was brought up in conversation and I remember thinking that it would be nice to see her 40 years later. My thought and prayers to Karen’s family and friends. Sincerely, John Hickey

Helen Kenny left a message on June 26, 2025:
Karen was one of those rare souls who made life brighter for everyone around her. She was a devoted mother, a fiercely loyal friend, and a woman who gave endlessly without ever asking for anything in return. Her strength, warmth, and selflessness touched so many—especially my daughter Chels, who loved her deeply and was lucky to have Karen as a second mom. Karen created magic in the everyday—Hawaiian adventures, fun sleepovers, and unforgettable family trips like our group visit to Disney, where she made sure all the kids could be together, laughing and bonding every moment. She had a way of thinking of everything and everyone. That was Karen—thoughtful, generous, always giving more than she took. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and quiet strength. We will miss her deeply, but we’ll carry her spirit with us always. We love you Karen!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Words fail to fully express what I feel, but we look to the sovereignty of God in times like these. My brother, my friend, my leader—please know that I am with you in spirit. Karen, you were deeply loved by Gary, but the Lord, who loves you even more, has called you home. Gary, may the God of all comfort surround you and your family during this time. Take solace in knowing that while Karen has departed from this world, her spirit lives on—in your children and in the beautiful life you built together. May God’s hand rest gently on your heart and on every member of your family, bringing peace, strength, and healing.

Carole Alto left a message on June 24, 2025:
So sad to learn of this far too early loss. Karen was an incredibly high functioning person - whether it was working in NYC or making a warm corn, avocado, and bean salad. In a world of attention seekers, Karen preferred to be under the radar. I had great respect for her.
