Karen L. Cleffi, 68, Long Branch, passed away Tuesday February 6th at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Karen was a lifelong resident of Long Branch and graduated Star of the Sea Academy in 1967. She was a communicant of Star of the Sea RC Church where she helped her mother cook for the priest and organize Bingo at the church. She enjoyed coaching Long Branch Recreation girls’ softball, bowling and skiing. A member of Suneagles Golf Club, Karen was an avid golfer. She was also president of the Women’s softball league.
Karen was a budget analyst for the Department of Defense at Fort Monmouth
Karen is predeceased by her parents Ruth and Henry Cleffi. Surviving are her sisters & brothers-in-law Antonetta & Rich Heinzinger, Tinton Falls, Anita & Gene Friedman, Manchester and Henrietta & Steven Cote, West Allenhurst; brothers, Ben & Mary Keysper, East Windsor, and Bill & Mely Keysper, Erie, PA; her nieces and nephews Heather Heinzinger, Kristi & Rich White, Olivia Heinzinger, Sarah & Phil Gargiulo, Eric Friedman, Ashley Cote and Steve Cote, and Joy and Samantha Keysper; and her great nieces and nephews Ariana, Dominick, Zakariyah, Justice, Isabella, Mia, J.C., K.C. and Ben.
Karen our earthly angel has been given her heavenly wings to guide her on her divine journey. She gave us unconditional love each day and taught us that to live our lives with an open heart full of unconditional love would make our lives extraordinary through the good and bad days. Rest in divine peace Kaka!
