Kevin G. Price, 64, of Keyport, died on Monday, February 5.

Kevin was born in Red Bank to the late Emily and William H. Price in 1959. He was raised in Union Beach and graduated from Keyport High School in 1978. Kevin began working from an early age and developed a passion for cars. He owned Kevin’s Auto Repair in Keyport for over 38 years.

Kevin’s passion was working and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed attending NASCAR races, being out on his boat, and dining out. Kevin was the life of the party wherever he went and was always making new friends.

He is predeceased by his parents.

Surviving are his children Austin Price and his wife Shannon Kramer of Jackson, Rikki Price of Hazlet, and Emma Price and her husband Joshua Bauza of Jackson, his companion Lisa Snyder and her children Christiana, Amanda, and Zachary, his brother Larry Price and his companion Linda Duncan, grandchildren Amelia Rose, Gary Cooper, Wyatt “Big W”, Paxton, and his grand-dog Savage McGee.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13th from 2 pm – 4pm and 7 pm – 9pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A service will be offered during the visitation. Ennichment is 11:00 am, Thursday, February 15th at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.

In lieu of traditional remembrances, Kevin’s family asks with gratitude that donations in his name be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org)

We are very saddened by Kevin’s passing. We knew him for many many years and he was a great guy. He was “our mechanic” and we could always count on him to take great care of us. He always enjoyed talking about his family and we could see that he was a devoted family man. He will certainly be missed by many.

Our Condolences for the family's loss. He definitely was one of the kindest men I know. He will truly be missed but will still be spoken highly of in this families everyday conversation. As my dad Pete always said "he was one of the good ol guys" May he rest in peace in heaven while watching down on all with tools still in hands. You will and loved .

I am truly saddened by this news. Have been going to Kevin’s shop for over 30 years. I have to say he is one of the kindest , honest and all around nice guy Best mechanic ever. Truly cares about his customers and I knew when I left my car with Kevin I had no worries I can’t say enough about him. Very sad

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Kevin’s passing. He is the only mechanic I’ve ever completely trusted. Throughout the years we became friends and I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with him. My heartfelt condolences to all who loved him.

While having never met Mister Price, I've worked with his son, Austin, for many years and heard so many stories of Kevin, especially ones that took place at "the shop." I am sure, through Austin, his legacy will endure. My deepest sympathies to the Price family.

I’ve known Kevin since I moved to Hazlet over 25 years ago. Not just a great mechanic but an even greater friend. Spent many a day just going there to hang out and solve the world’s problems. I’m shocked and saddened of his passing. I’m going to miss my friend. Rest In Peace Kevin…..

I'll miss you baby brother!

I was deeply saddened when I heard of your passing, Kevin. You are truly a great person that I consider a good friend. Most of our conversations revolved around my problems or headaches that you are so skilled at making go away. The occasional times we spent together just because, BS-ing and laughing are some of my best memories. You will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

I could always call my uncle and cry to him about trying to fix a car I was working on and always he would have a answer, One fun memory I have is he did a crash up derby at wall speed way, he got hung up on a log the hole time but the little bit he got bang up the next day he said how sore he was. He was always a kid at hart will miss him!
