Brian Lord left a message on May 18, 2020:
I never knew this little message board was here. I was thinking about Kris tonight and discovered it. 15 years ago now that he passed away. I don't think I really processed it when it happened, or for many years after. He was my first friend and my best friend for a long time. We learned a lot about life together. I always looked up to him. He was a year older than me and better than me at everything... sports, video games, navigating the rough and tumble streets of Angela Circle... He always looked out for me and stood up for me. I think we had a very special bond and even years later when we grew apart a bit, we knew it was still there. I wonder sometimes if he's hanging around somewhere, stopping by for a visit. To this day he's one of the nicest people I've ever known and I really hope to know him again someday.

What happened here I can't ask why? A young life taken To make us cry? Don't blame God For what was done But remember too He took his Son. By taking Kris He took his pain And remember this He's born again. He's born in happiness Without end Now Jesus Christ Is his best friend. We are all so very sorry For the pain, and hurt, and emptiness here. The loss of a son is so unfair. How much more can your hearts bare? What you long feared has come your way. The support we give can't cleanse away. The agony you feel today. You will get better here and there. Day after day and year by year. And he will be with you all your life. God Bless you Paul God Bless your Wife Dick Forshay

Dear Paul and family: Bill and I share in your sadness at this time. We also lost a wonderful, young man in our family this year --in a battle against cancer. We felt so helpless throughout the illness, as you probably have also felt. A life that is cut short is just one example of the many things we never understand because we are only human. But our Father understands and loves us all. Today Kris is in the presence of His love and someday we will all be reunited. Our family will continue to pray for His comfort to you.
