Lawrence Thomas Fascetti, 94, of Middletown, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Lawrence was the eldest son of Lawrence and Ida Fascetti. After graduating from high school, Lawrence proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he developed lifelong friendships and a deep sense of duty and honor. Upon returning from service, he pursued higher education and earned his MBA from Xavier University, an accomplishment he was immensely proud of.
In 1950, Lawrence married the love of his life, Ann (nee Tibbits), and together they embarked on a life filled with love, adventure, and commitment. Their marriage spanned 74 wonderful years, during which they built a beautiful family and a shared legacy. Lawrence’s career began at American Standard, where his exceptional work ethic and leadership skills led him to the role of Director of Logistics. This position took the Fascetti family across various states, from Raritan to Branchburg, then to Frenchtown, Hamilton, Ohio, and back to New Jersey. Throughout their travels, Lawrence remained dedicated to his family, ensuring that they thrived no matter where they lived.
A man of deep faith, Lawrence was a devoted member of the church of St. Catharine in, Holmdel, NJ. His commitment to his church community was evident in his actions and his spirit of service, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.
In his personal life, Lawrence was a man of many interests and passions. He was an avid sports fan, particularly enjoying horse racing, where he would often share his excitement and knowledge with family and friends. Lawrence also had a love for skiing, ping pong, and home improvement projects, often tackling challenging projects around the house with a meticulous eye for detail. His natural curiosity and zest for life were apparent in everything he did.
Above all, Lawrence was deeply devoted to his family. He cherished attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, celebrating their accomplishments, and offering words of encouragement. His sense of humor, wisdom, and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on those who knew him, and he was a beloved figure in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Lawrence is survived by his adoring wife, Ann; his daughters Melissa (Will) Hoffman and Melinda (John) Bailey; his brothers Alfred and James; and his cherished grandchildren: Jennifer (John) Murad, Kristen Bailey, Danielle (Nick) Benedict, Jonathan (Lupe) Bailey, Jessica (Doug) Hughes, Jason, and Hannah. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Sam and Kevin Murad, Jake Burdynski, Amelia Gossett, Connor and Brooke Benedict, Zac and Zander Bailey, who brought him immense joy in his later years.
A man of integrity, generosity, and devotion, Lawrence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who carry forward the lessons he imparted with love and care.
