Lenore “Lee” Messina, age 76, of Staten Island, New York passed away on Wednesday, May 9th 2023 surrounded by her family.

Born September 28th 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mimi Cucchiaria.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jesse Messina; daughter, Jessica and her husband Chris: son, Joseph and his wife Gina; four beautiful grandchildren, Jake, Emma, Sierra and Luke; a sister, Angela Travaglione and brother, Charles Cucchiara. She is predeceased in death by her sister, Annette Palmieri

Lee worked for an insurance company and later worked for the Archdiocese of New York where she spent the majority of her career. She enjoyed knitting, reading, shopping, and her trips to Atlantic City and watching her grandchildren sports events.

Visitation will be Friday, May 12th from 4:00-9:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel NJ 07733. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday, May 13that 10:00 AM at St. Benedicts RC Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. An entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
