Leonard Fred Bruno, Sr., 99 of Eatontown, died on Sunday, September 5th. He was born and raised in Long Branch. Your dad was a role model for my career as a police officer. His calm demeanor and willingness to help was a roadmap for many of us. My beginning in 1976 was at the end of his career and at the old city hall he sat at the police desk which was higher off the floor. This gave him the presence of a higher upper one to be reckoned with. I knew him also on the fatherhood side being at our baseball games gave the public side of him. I will always remember him as Mr. Bruno. RIP .
