Stephanie Hollinger (Pagliarulo) left a message on October 25, 2025:
Lois Dissinger was like a mom to me. We became neighbors when I was four years old and although my memory does not reach back that far, I know from stories told that I became fast friends with Diane and Carol as I was exactly in the middle between their ages. I remember one night I was at their house next door and we were experiencing torrential rain. We came up with the idea to ask if I could sleep over because of the rain. I called home to ask and my mother said yes and I replied “okay I’ll be right over to get my stuff “ He he!! When the Dissingers moved to Holmdel I used to visit and would stay for a weekend or a week or two at a time over holidays and summers. There I learned how to play pool, work on a farm, muck stalls and run from geese (Trouble and More Trouble). I fed my first calve , All Beef Pattie’s baby. Lois would graciously take me along on visits to Barnegat Light and Surf City where I learned to water ski and drove a boat for the first time with cousins Eric, Carl and Danny. The six of us played chicken in the bay.. I had a blast every time we visited!! Both Ron and Lois treated me as a member of the family and because of it I was greatly blessed!!! I truly cherish the time I spent with the Dissingers and all the many things I learned as part of their family. Diane and Carol, I am so sorry for your loss. I know your mom will be greatly missed. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered with a special place in my heart.

Dear Diane,Carol and family, our deepest condolences on your Mother ‘s passing. Have nothing but fond memories of vacationing as children with Aunt Lois and Uncle Ronnie at Long Beach Island. Spending holidays dinners together at Pop and Grandmom Dissinger’s house. I’m sure she completely enjoyed those years of living close to her children and grandchildren, building wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
