Lois J. Palladino was born on August 13, 1932 in West New York, NJ, where she was one of six children. On November 23, 1952, Lois married the love of her life, John C. Palladino, and they moved to Hazlet, NJ, where they lived for over 50 years, during which time she had three children: John, Teresa, and Regina. She was a loving mother who always found time to help out at her children’s school, as evidenced by her involvement with the PTA at St. Benedict’s Elementary School, as a Class Mother, and her participation in other extracurricular school activities for a number of years. She especially loved attending her son’s cross country and track races, her daughter’s girl scout meetings, and her other daughter’s softball games and horseback riding classes.
She was a medical assistant for over 25 years and a devoted volunteer at the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, where she assisted in various charities and fashion shows. Years later, she moved to Monroe Township, NJ, where she continued to enrich her community with her presence. Some of her passions included traveling, buying shoes, playing cards, and dancing. She enjoyed going to the beach and her favorite pastime was watching Burt Lancaster movies. She loved going to New York City and seeing shows on Broadway. She was a parishioner at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel, NJ, and later at The Parish of Saint Mary in Colts Neck, NJ, for many years.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Teresa. She is survived by her husband, John, whom she had been married to for 68 amazing years. She is also survived by her son, John, and her daughter, Regina (and husband Peter), as well as her grandchildren Robert, Audrey, John (and wife Ashley), Sara, Stephen, and Peter. She will be greatly missed by all who love her.
