Louise Mistretta, 84, of Farmingdale, NJ, passed away in her home on Tuesday evening, January 12, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Louise lived in Staten Island, Colts Neck, and Farmingdale, NJ. She was a communicant of St. Catherine's in Farmingdale, as well as a former communicant of St. Mary's in Colts Neck. She led a life of service, being heavily involved in the Martha-Mary Guild and the Rosary Society at St. Mary's in Colts Neck. When she wasn't volunteering, Louise dedicated every waking moment to being a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Louise was predeceased by her parents Anna and Frank Cinque, brother Dr. Thomas Cinque, and husband Thomas L. Mistretta. She is survived by her daughter Vera and Peter of Laguna Beach, CA, daughter Ann and Richard of Bayville, NJ, son Frank and Roberta of Freehold, NJ, daughter Mary Ellen and Nick of Farmingdale, NJ, daughter Diane of Phoenix, AZ, and daughter Patricia and Victor of Toms River, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Angela, Eric, David, Nicole, Matthew, Gaetano, Toni, Michelle, and Sonny. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home of Holmdel, NJ, located at 26 South Holmdel Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine's Church on 31 Asbury Road in Farmingdale, NJ. Interment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery.

Aunt Louise & Uncle Tom always made me feel loved and welcomed. Aunt Louise's sense of humor will surely be missed. I am with you in spirit as you go through this difficult time. To our cousins, though we have been gone from the east for many years, all of you are in our hearts. Uncle Tom & Aunt Louise were wonderful to aunt Chris & uncle Vinny and we always enjoyed living close to you in Staten Island. I am so sad for your loss. I was a small child when your dad brought your mom to the Mistretta home on 60th Street. She was such a lovely woman with a precious smile. My condolences to your family.
