Louise Lauter, 79, loving mother and former advertising executive, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Freehold, NJ, with family by her side.
Known for her kindness and sweet personality, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Louise was born in 1944 in Akron Ohio to Jessica and Joseph Axner, where she graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Art History. At the age of 25, Louise moved to Manhattan and pursued a career in advertising. She rose in her field as a senior television media buyer and worked for some of the top advertising agencies in NYC throughout her career. She settled in Staten Island, where she raised her children, Michelle and Jason. As a full-time working mother, Louise put all of her energy into providing for her children and being there for them throughout their childhood.
Eventually, Louise would retire and move to Freehold, NJ where she enjoyed many of the activities offered at her retirement community.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Michelle, son, Jason, daughter in-law, Jessie and grandchildren, Lucas, Daniel and Cameron. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Alzheimer’s foundation.
