Madeline Etta Dangler, 89, passed away, peacefully, July 15, 2012 at Carlisle Hospital. She resided at Chapel Pointe Nursing home, Carlisle, Pa for the past 4 years but was born, lived and raised a family in Oceanport, New Jersey. Madeline was the daughter of Arthur and Maude (Brand) Wright. She was the widow of Walter Dangler Sr., who died in Nov. 1998. Prior to an illness 6 years ago, she was active in the Oceanport Senior Citizens, the Eastern Star and the Sons and Daughters of Liberty. Madeline was a member of the First Baptist Church of Long Branch, NJ. She was a homemaker and occupied her time with puzzles. Madeline is survived by a sister, Lydia Van Brunt of Oceanport; her son, Rev. Walter Dangler Jr. and his wife Donna of Clifton NJ; a daughter Carol and her husband John Madden of Carlisle, Pa; five grandsons Aaron, Andrew and Timothy Dangler, Wesley and Matthew Madden. She is also survived by two great grand-daughters, Camryn and Rylee Madden. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18th, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 AM at the Funeral Home.
