Manoj Kumar Prasad, 56, of Freehold, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Manoj was born and raised in India where he worked as an attorney. He and his wife, Jyothsna moved to New Jersey where they started their own business and raised their two daughters. He was always the life of the party and had a love for connecting with every person he came across. He was the most loving and supportive husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He loved to travel, eat good food, drink great wines, and spend time with his family, including his dog Pepper.

Manoj is survived by his wife Jyothsna; his daughters Anisha and Priyanka; and many loving family members.

A visitation will be held, Saturday, February 17th from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel, Nj 07733. A service will be offered at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. The cremation will be private.

I was privileged to meet you and your wonderful family and goofy Pepper when you called me for help with him. You were always such a gentleman, welcoming, thoughtful, and a kind soul, as was your family: they are amazing people. Pepper was your boy, always looking out for you, wanting to be near you. Such a great pup. Once you found out you were ill, it didn't change you at all. Your wife and daughters took such good care of you and Pepper, and you've left a wonderful legacy as a husband, father, friend and person. The world is a little dimmer without your physical presence but a much brighter one for you having been amongst us. To your family, my prayers for your comfort and strength. May the time be short 'till your memories of Manoj bring your more smiles and laughter than tears.

Dear Jyotsana It was shocking to hear about Manoj. Specially since we did not keep in touch . It's very sad that we lost touch after you moved to USA. May his soul rest in peace and God give you strength to bear this irreparable loss. Nitin s grandmother was very fond of your in law s family and considered them her own. I will miss coming over at breakfast and discussing our Wordle results, current events and stories of our lives. You, Jyosthna and the girls have always made me feel so welcome, like family. You were a wonderful man so full of strength, wisdom, love, life and laughter. Manoj is my brother in law. Have known him for nearly 30 years now. He was the most successful businessman in our circle of 1st gen immigrants from India. He was also a genuinely loving nice guy - which is a rare combination. He knew all the employees of his multiple franchises who have stayed with him for years. His passing away on Valentine’s day is symbolic of such a loving person. He will live in many hearts forever. May god grant his soul peace ; strength and courage to the loving family he leaves behind.

Always smiling, always kind, always helpful-is how you will be remembered! Praying for strength for my dear friend Jyothsna to be able to bear this loss!

Although you are in New Jersey and I live in London we always felt so close as cousins . I am so glad my family were able to spend the summer of 2022 with you, Jyostna Bhabi, Anisha and Priyanka in Manhattan. Simran my daughter will always remember your generosity and love on her birthday in Aug 2022. My mum, Saroj was so fond of you and thankyou for always being there for us and being her favourite nephew. Bhaiya you are full of energy, I will never forget the way you danced at my wedding. Bhaiya thank you for being an inspiration to us all. You did a great job bringing up Anisha and Priyanka as they too are as a wonderful as you and Jyostna Bhabi. I wish I was there in New Jersey to say goodbye . You are in a better place now, with your mum and dad, my mum, Kusum aunty and Preeti. They and God will all take care of you .
