Marielle Genevieve Larkin 37, passed away on June 19th.

She lived for two years with her parents in England and then moved to New Jersey. As a child she enjoyed going to camp and participating in sports. After college she became a writer for a fashion publishing company. Her favorite hobby was photography and she enjoyed traveling to various parts of the United States. Her life was full even though it was short.

She is predeceased by her father John Larkin. She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Larkin, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; she leaves behind her best friend Carrie and her beloved dog, Fitzy.

Memorial gathering will be Saturday June 30th from 10am until the service at Noon at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch.

Donations can be made in Marielle's name to the NJ SPCA at njspca.org.

Online friends are absolutely real friends. I “met” Marielle several years ago on Twitter. We became friends due to a certain soap opera fan base and realized we had other things in common and we lived down the road from each other. The stars never aligned, so we never met in person but chatted a few times a week for a long time online. I’ll miss seeing Marielle’s photography posts, her fashion postings and fashion week updates, I’ll miss chatting about impending storms and things going on around town with her. I’m so very sorry to hear of her passing. Marielle was a wonderful friend with a peaceful, genuine nature. She will be truly missed.

My heart hurts. Marielle and I met 20 years ago in West Virginia and we have kept in touch ever since. She was an amazing friend and soul. I have so many wonderful memories of our adventures we took in the course of a year. Although we had not seen each other in years, it was like we never skipped a beat. My deepest condolences to the Larkin family. Marielle is now the most beautiful angel.

Lorraine , I am heartbroken. Marielle was such a kind and giving person. She holds a special place in my heart and I will remember her always.

My heart is just broken. Marielle was such an amazing person and a great friend. We always had such a great time together and her smile always lit up the room. My prayers are with the family and friends that she left behind. Lorraine, sweet Marielle is now an angel watching over you and reuniting with her father that she missed so much. She will forever be missed .
