Marion “Lee” DePalma, 92 of Ocean, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Lee was born in the Bronx, New York, but lived most of her lifetime in Holmdel and Colts Neck, NJ. She worked in the accounting department at S.S. White, and after many years decided to retire. She loved to cook and was famous for her eggplant parmesan. She enjoyed playing canasta with the ladies at the clubhouse and staying current with today’s fashion. She was an avid knitter and crafted gifts for all her family to enjoy. Family was of the utmost importance, and she cherished having large gatherings at her home for the holidays.
Lee was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Leona Leo, husband Frank DePalma, and sister Diana Calhoun. She is survived by her three children: Frank DePalma and wife Susan, of Shrewsbury, NJ; Debra Zamoyta and husband Paul, of Shrewsbury, NJ; and Richard DePalma and wife Susan, of Waretown, NJ.
She has five grandchildren that she treasured: Nicole DePalma, Elyse Greenwell, Corey Zamoyta, Ricky DePalma and Briton Zamoyta. Her great grandchildren stole her heart: Teddy Rose Huthwaite, Audriana and Brayden Greenwell and newly born Capri Zamoyta.
