Mary was born and raised in the Bronx to the late Mae and Matthew Leonard. She attended St. Helena’s High School, and began working shortly after graduating. She and her husband married in 1962, and began their family in Virginia, moving to Jersey City, and finally Marlboro, where they were residents for over 30 years. More than anything else Mary loved spending time with her family, who meant the world to her. She enjoyed cooking for the holidays, especially her famous meatballs, sausage and peppers. She also enjoyed nights out with the family at their favorite local restaurants. Mary loved vacationing with the whole family and visited Port St. Lucie together with her husband in the winter months every year. She was caring in every way and would do anything for her family. She was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. Gabriel’s Church for over 30 years.
