My heartfelt sympathy & deepest condolences go out to the entire Mavrookas Family. I am so saddened & heartbroken over the loss of your Mother & Yiayia. She was a truly wonderful person. I always enjoyed any opportunity to be around Thia Matina. She always smiled at me , expressed a genuine interest in what I was doing & always expressed her love to me & my family. Her great love of family was constantly present, especially during the holidays & at family parties. I will miss our conversations & all those family gatherings. May her memory be eternal. Love, Bob, Andrea, Ava & Olivia Papageorgiou

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Your Mom was like a second mother to me. She was always sweet to me, caring and loving. Your home on High Street was like a second home to me. I know she loved all of you - each in a special way. George and Mary were great supporters of the church and did so much for the St. Demetrios community as you -all her children have also done. Please excuse my absence. I am being very cautious with Covid exposure. I apologize.

My deepest sympathies to everyone in the Mavrookas family as my Aunt, Nouna, Koumbara was the epitome of selflessness, kindness, loving & nurturing. My childhood memories were filled with joy because every holiday was magical, especially Christmas. You would have thought she was Mrs. Claus herself. Even everyday visits were special. No one else made me loukoumades at the drop of a hat. I felt welcomed & loved all the time. She was always there at every pivotal moment in my life, graduations, Koumbara at my wedding, and Nouna to my son. She was like a second mother to me. I will miss her dearly. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves memories that last forever.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
