MaryAnn Mossa, 90, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully on Friday.
MaryAnn was born in Long Branch and raised in Perth Amboy; she is a graduate of Perth Amboy High School. Following high school, she married the love of her life, Tony. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Holmdel and raised their family.
MaryAnn’s interests included going to Broadway plays, shows at the Garden State Arts Center, traveling and dancing with Tony.
MaryAnn loved to reminisce of her charmed life growing up in Perth Amboy. Whether it be humorous family stories, the stores on Smith Street, her father’s cocktail lounge or traveling into the city with her mother to see DiMaggio play or hear Sinatra sing.
While MaryAnn enjoyed many activities, she most loved her family. She lived for her grandchildren.
MaryAnn is predeceased by her husband C. Anthony Mossa; and her daughter Deborah Mossa.
MaryAnn is survived by her sons John Mossa of Red Bank, Joseph Mossa and his wife Lindsay of Allenwood, and Anthony Mossa and his wife Kristin of Fair Haven; her beloved grandchildren Angela and her husband Edward, Gianna, Mackenzie, Gabriella and Nicholas; and her great grandchild Ciro John.
Visitation will be Monday, January 15th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733. A mass of Christian burial will be offered Tuesday, January 16th at 10 am at St. Benedicts RC Church, 165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel. An Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
