Marybeth (Glowacki) Kwapniewski, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed into eternal rest surrounded by family at home on November 24, 2025, at the age of 54, following a courageous, 15-month battle with stage 4 melanoma.

Marybeth is survived by Richard, her devoted husband, high school sweetheart, and best friend, with whom she recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her adoring children, Kathryn and Andrew, who made her so proud and who meant the world to her. She is survived by her loving parents, Eileen and Robert Glowacki, who cherished her as their only child. And she is survived by many other family members and close friends who showed her overwhelming love and support over the duration of her illness.

Born in Jersey City and raised in North Arlington, Marybeth attended Our Lady Queen of Peace High School, where she excelled in academics and athletics, winning a state championship in high jump. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Rutgers University and pursued a career in commercial banking with positions at Chemical Bank and Bank of New York. She stepped away from that career to become a full-time mom to her two children, a role which she fully and lovingly embraced.

Marybeth generously volunteered her time and talent in various roles in her community, church, and children’s schools, and excelled in managing large-scale fundraising gala events. She later built upon her drive to serve the community by obtaining a certification in non-profit management, leading to a position as Program Director at Senior Citizens Activities Network (SCAN), where she immersed herself in the mission of improving and enriching the lives of seniors. She had a passion for planning dynamic and meaningful classes, speakers, and events at SCAN, but more significantly, she touched the lives of the members and colleagues, and she helped make it a caring and joyful community.

Marybeth delighted in spending time with friends and family taking walks in the park, sitting and talking on the beach (her happy place), and hosting holidays and dinner parties at home. She loved music, especially outdoor concerts during the summer. She continuously sought to challenge herself, competing in several Jersey Girl Triathlons and representing SCAN at a ballroom dancing fundraising competition, remarkably winning first-place just two months before her diagnosis! She loved dogs, and she will be deeply missed by her fur baby, Sadie.

Visitation Sunday, November 30th, 2:00-6:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian burial Monday, December 1st, 10:30 am at Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
