MaryJean Jacoby, 60, of Colts Neck, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey.
She was the youngest of six children born to William and Millicent E. Smith in Bayside, Queens New York.
MaryJean, motivated by her mother to pursue a career in the medical field, enrolled in Saint Vincent’s School of Nursing in NYC. There she met her future husband and the love of her life Jeffrey Mark Jacoby. They both began their careers at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, where MaryJean worked in the Intensive Care Unit. When Saint Vincent’s Hospital closed in 2010, MaryJean continued her career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in NYC and later transferred to their out-patient facility located in Holmdel, New Jersey.
MaryJean and Jeffrey married on June 23, 1990 and on September 7, 1995 they became the proud parents of triplets, Jamie Mark, Dillon Thomas and Emily Ann. MaryJean and Jeffrey spent eight wonderful years together until his passing in 1998.
MaryJean loved to host birthday parties and holiday gatherings, especially Christmas, her favorite time of the year. She also loved to take vacations to Cape May, New Jersey, Hilton Head, South Carolina and all the Disney parks. She adored her Basset Hound Belle.
MaryJean was a beloved daughter and care-taker to her father William and in-laws John and Joanne Jacoby.
MaryJean is predeceased by her husband Jeff, her mother Millicent, and her oldest brother Billy.
MaryJean is survived by her father, children Jamie, Dillon and Emily, sister Patti, brothers John, Bob, and Tom, sisters in-law Ellen and Jo Ann, and brother in-law Brian. MaryJean has numerous surviving nephews, nieces and their children.

The viewing will be held at Holmdel Funeral Home at 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023.
Services will be held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church at 139 Route 537, Colts Neck, New Jersey at 11:00 AM on December 30, 2023. Burial will take place in the Colts Neck Reformed Church Cemetery.
