Mrs. Maureen Barker 88, of West Long Branch passed away on April 4th at Monmouth Medical center in Long Branch. She was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to West Long Branch in 1927. Mrs. Barker retired as Chief of Staff from Fort Monmouth. Following her retirement she volunteered at the S.P.C.A for 10 years. She loved the NY Yankees even watching Yankee Classics up until becoming ill this past week. She was predeceased by her two sons, Joseph E. Barker in 1994 and Michael Barker in 2009. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in law Raymond and Elizabeth Barker of Jackson, Brian and Debra Barker of Ocean Twp; Two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Mike Perri, Brick and Phyllis Barker, Ocean Twp; daughter-in-law Kathy Barker, Jackson; Seven grandchildren, Shana, Allison, Daniel, Emily, Brenna, Brooke, Jesse, Tiffanie and Stephanie; and her great grandchildren, Tatiana and Gianna.
