Brian Barker left a message on April 7, 2015:
I felt the need to express how much my mothers passing has impacted me. My mother raised six children, four boys and two girls, without any outside help from anyone. I often hear how some parents are willing to sacrifice a few material things in life in order to give their children nicer gifts such as new cars or expensive vacations. My mother did not have the monetary means to shower us with extravagant gifts. Instead, my mother sacrificed for us by the fact that she never indulged on herself. Her main priority was to keep us all together and to insure our safety and well being. She literally walked from our home in West Long Branch to her job at Ft. Monmouth up until the time that she obtained a driver's license at the age of 46. No one is the perfect mother but, she was the perfect one for us. Your loving son, Brian
