Michael N DeFino of Hazlet, formally of Lincroft passed away on August 28, 2011 at Riverview Medical Center. He was 98 years old. Born in Millburn, raised in Newark he had also resided for many years in Milltown. Mr. DeFino was a US Army Veteran of World War II where he served as a medic. He retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1978 and shortly thereafter he moved to Deerfield Beach Florida. He had also lived in Delray Beach Florida, where he was active in the Italian American Club. Son of the late Louis and Madeline Gabriele Defino he was predeceased by his two brothers Samuel and Joseph, and his sisters Lucille Ludovico and Corinne (Kay) Cancellieri. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Angela and Robert Frumin, his grandson Robert John Frumin, his sister and brother-in-law Louise and Jack Lanzafama, and 14 nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Cremation will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holmdel Funeral Home.
