Michael Thomas LaRocca 22, of Holmdel passed away Sunday September 4, 2011 at home. Michael was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in 2007, where he was on the Track Team, and was currently attending Brookdale Community College. Michael will always be remembered for his winning smile and engaging personality. Surviving are his parents Louis and Jane LaRocca, sister Theresa Komar, and her husband David, brothers Albert, and his wife Erika, Joseph, and his fiancé Colleen, and Robert LaRocca, aunt Angela and Steven Schwartz, 2 uncles Don and Judy Klotz, and Clayton and Renee Klotz, niece Liana Day LaRocca, nephew Kayden Vincent Komar, his girlfriend Kristen Walters, and many Cousins and Great Aunts and Uncles. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday 9:00AM at St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Holmdel. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Michael's memory to either St. Catharine's R.C. Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733 or Christian Brothers Academy, Building Fund, 850 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738

My son Louie Hartmann and Mike met each other freshman year at CBA. I was so impressed by Michael. I thought what a nice friend. They were on the track team together and I thought Mike was a great competitor and helped Louie fight hard to be a winner. Always supporting each other. The other side of Mike was a funny, good looking and such a friendly person. They went their different paths but I will always remember Mike as A Great Person.
