Dad, I’m still having a hard time understanding that you are not here. Yet , it makes complete sense that you could not be without your “Sweetie” for too long and had to follow Mommy just 10 short days after she left us. I’m sad and I guess selfish feeling that 89 1/2 years was not enough , but I know it is not for me to question. We have a lot of good memories of living in Brooklyn , moving to NJ, celebrating holidays , birthdays , anniversaries. We always had fun at our summer house when we were little; crabbing , clamming and going on the boat . You enjoyed many a baseball and basketball game and spending time with the kids, and listening to Sinatra , Tony Bennett and the Drifters. I am grateful for all of this . And all those great memories at your Florida house , so much fun. I just naively thought we still had time for a little more. I’m so sorry that we were not able to take you one last time to the “fish guy” and watch you show off with your excellent filet skills. I’m sorry we didn’t get to make up for some lost time and talk about things ; I am truly sorry for that . But I will remember all the fun , crazy antics and stories we had with you and I am comforted in knowing that although we wanted you to stay around a bit longer , you got your wish to follow Mommy. I know you were heartbroken and devasted without her and your will to be together was so strong. In the end you had a good long happy successful and blessed life . Not so bad for a poor kid from Brooklyn. I will love and miss you forever. Rest in eternal peace.

Mom and Dad… After 70 years of marriage, it seems somehow so fitting that you would both pass within ten days of each other like the inseparable love birds that you were; together in life on Earth, and now reunited in eternal life. Though we are all heartbroken and saddened now, I hope we will all find comfort in the knowledge that you are together again, and happy memories will live in our hearts always and forever. I love you both. Steve

Recently, Dad and I reminisced about when he took me to see "A Hard Day's Night". We had different memories about which movie theater we saw it, but we both had the same memory that my younger brother Steven didn't join us. Music was ALWAYS a part of our homelife and at this point it has continued for 2 generations with my sons and neices and nephews. Whenever, Steven and I would fight, Dad would always sing the Hollies tune "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" (The Hollies: He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother (2019 Remaster Video)). So, this time around, I'd like for Dad and Mom, just separated by 10 days, to celebrate their reunion, with these words from the Beatles' "Two of Us" (The Beatles - Two Of Us (Promo Video)) … "You and I have memories, longer than the road that stretches out ahead". Rest in the eternal peace that you both deserve together. I'll miss you forever.
