Olga Spadaccini, 95 of Aberdeen died on Friday, April 29th at the Willows of Holmdel.
Born in the Bronx in 1927 to Angela and Luigi Cieri, she and her family moved to Italy, where she was raised and educated. Olga returned to the United States at 24 years old, without her husband Frank and daughter Nina, to establish residency before bringing them to the United States.
She earned her college degree and became a teacher in the Aberdeen district. She was a wonderful seamstress, a Master Knitter and enjoyed crocheting. Olga loved to cook Italian food, her Sunday sauce and spaghetti were a family favorite.
Olga and Frank loved to travel, especially throughout Europe.
She and Frank settled in Aberdeen in 1964. They always maintained an apartment in their beloved Abruzzo, Italy, as well as a home in St. Augustine, Fl. for the winter months.
Olga was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank in 2005; her sister, Mina Sanita Di Toppi and her brother Tony Cieri.
Surviving are her children, Nina (Ed) Broberg, Holmdel and Paul (Sheri) Spadaccini, Matawan; her grandchildren, Erica (Scott) Smith, Karl (Andrea) Broberg, Paul Spadaccini and Dylan Spadaccini; her great grandchildren, Kyra, Wyatt, Lukas and Lilly
Mass of Christian burial, Wednesday May 25th, 10:30 am, St. Clement’s RC Church, 17 Freneau Avenue, Matawan. Entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum will be private.
