She was a woman of honor, conviction, and strength which served her well in her career and the lives she met along her way.
Pat was born on May 10, 1944, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was the daughter Veronica Connelly and Charles Desomma. She grew up with a strong work ethic, and a determination to succeed. After only having a high school education, Pat worked her way up as a mail room clerk to an industry leader as a Regulatory Credit/Margin Specialist at the New York Stock Exchange from 1977-2006.
In addition to her career, she dedicated herself to her 4 children and her husband, William Neil of 58 years. Pat’s family was her heart and soul. She was an active parishioner of the Church of St. Catharine, Holmdel, where she volunteered many hours, including making rosary bead sets as well as church hall monitor for CCD. She enjoyed puzzles, watching game shows, reading and watching crime dramas. Pat was a member of the Holmdel Senior Center and Keyport Senior Center, where she and her husband would go on many trips with friends to travel the world. She was a woman of strength and loyalty, and she made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. You always knew where you stood with her.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, William R. Neil, Sr., her daughter, Veronica Cozzi and her son, William R. Neil, Jr. Surviving are her daughters and their spouses, Patti and her wife Susan Neil and Barbara and her husband Philip Esposito, Jr., her grandchildren, Daniel, Megan, Ryan and Kailey.
