Phyllis Marchesano, 95, of Ocean Township, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 23, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now at peace with the Lord.

Born and raised in Jersey City, Phyllis lived in Belmar, Lincroft, and Eatontown, prior to moving to Ocean Township in 2014. She was passionate about life living it to the fullest, enjoying the Jersey shore and weekends in Atlantic City. She was devoted to her faith and her family, and had a wonderfully positive impact on all she met. She was generous and caring, genuinely interested in others and how she could be a force for good in their lives. Having known her, you walked away being a better person for it. She loved and will be loved, was the best of the best, and an inspiration to those who knew her. She was the heart of her family and will be forever missed.

Phyllis was the beloved aunt of Joanne Fillweber, Elaine Kearney, Robert DiBarba and his wife Sheree, cherished great aunt of Suzanne Tessalone and her husband Michael, Lauren and Allison DiBarba. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Mastromonico, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and faithful friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Marchesano, sister, Angela DiBarba, brothers, Dominic Mastromonico and Maurice Mastromonico.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28th at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. The Funeral Mass will be at Church of Saint Leo the Great in Lincroft on Friday, June 29th at 10:15 a.m. Entombment will be in Holmdel Cemetery.
