Richard (Rick) E. Danielson, 71, of Oakhurst and Long Branch passed away peacefully in the kind care of his sister Robin, along with many thoughtful staff members of Imperial Healthcare, Neptune on May 11, 2025.

He was born on October 9, 1953 in Long Branch to Robert E. and Marjorie (Coffield) Danielson.  Rick was a 1971 graduate of Ocean Township High School.  He was a mechanic who worked for several area businesses.

Rick was predeceased by his parents who provided a warm home and great childhood; his brother Roger; his sister-in-law Bea (Vitale) Danielson, and his brother-in-law Jerry Howell.

He is survived by his brother Robert & his wife Debi (Henry) of Hazel, Kentucky; his sister Robin Howell of Monmouth Beach who played an important role in his life; his nephew Christopher (Tara) Danielson of Forked River and nieces Sandra Danielson of Toms River and Etta Danielson of Washington, DC.

Rick valued the loyal support of his lifelong friends Steve Gough and Lillian Frizino Saragusa.

There will be a private family graveside remembrance.
