Rita Diane Bennett, 67, of Long Branch, passed away at her home on Monday, July 21.

Rita was born in Neptune to Carmel (Millie) and Pasquale Mancini and raised in Ocean Township. She graduated from Ocean Township High School in 1976 and then graduated from Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. After graduating college, she came back home and began her career at Bendix where she worked for many years. She married the love of her life, George, in 1986 and moved to Long Branch.

Rita is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Victoria Moss.

Rita is survived by her husband, George, her nephews Chris B. Moss and Daniel Moss and her cousins Marie Pavlick, Michelle Carter and Carl Nesbitt.

In accordance with her family’s wishes, Rita will be privately cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time.
