Robert Joseph Gangi, 49, of Holmdel, passed away Wednesday night surrounded by his family. Rob was born in Brooklyn NY and raised in Old Bridge and Holmdel NJ. He graduated from Holmdel High School and attended Seton Hall University where he was a brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. After Seton Hall he began his career in finance working for Pershing LLC in Jersey City NJ for over 20 years.
In his free time Rob loved golfing, hunting and fishing with his friends. As a devoted Raiders fan he had been known to hop a flight out west when he couldn’t catch a game locally. Rob’s greatest passion was spending time with his pride and joy, his children. Together they loved camping, bike riding, traveling and going to Devils hockey games as a family.
Robert is predeceased by his father William.
He is survived by his mother Estelle; his wife Liza; his brother Craig; and his beloved children Joey and Gianna.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15th from 2:00-7:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, February 16that 10:30 AM at St. Catharine’s RC Church, 108 Middletown Rd, Holmdel. An entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Yellowstone National Park https://www.yellowstone.org/
