He was a 1958 graduate of Long Branch High School, He was a three year three sport varsity letter winner in Football, Basketball and Baseball. The football team at that time was coached by his father Army Ippolito. He recv. All Shore recognition in Football. 1958 3rd team all state Baseball. Shore Conference batting champion in 1958.
He attended Mt. Herman Prep in 1958 & 59 where he was the starting quaterback and was the captain of the baseball team. 1959 He attended Bucknell University where he was captain and Starting Quaterback of the football team.
He recv. his bachelors in Business Admin. from Monmouth College.
He worked as a systems analyist for U.S. Government, McGraw Hill, Continental Insurance , At&T, and retired from IBM, retiring in 2000.
