Ronald Pontrelli, 73, of Aberdeen passed away Sunday June 19th at home. Mr. Pontrelli was born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn moving to New Jersey when he was 16 years old. He lived in Holmdel for many years before moving to Aberdeen, Mr. Pontrelli graduated from the New School of Social Research in New York. He owned The Art of Custom Framing, Holmdel. Mr. Pontrelli, known as Chief, was an exempt life member of Holmdel Fire Co. #1 where he served as Fire Chief for 25 years. He believed in civic responsibility and served many volunteer organizations. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy; his son Jeffry Ronald & his wife Olga, Arlington, VA and his daughter Amanda Marie, Cedarville, NJ.
