Rose A. Libretti, 92, of Middletown passed away late Thursday evening surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, she met the love of her life and they married in 1950. She was an executive assistant for the Chairman of the Ripley Clothes Company in Manhattan for many years. While residing in Brooklyn they also spent many happy years in their summer vacation home in New Milford, CT.
They raised their son in Gravesend, Brooklyn and a few years after her husband, John retired they moved to Red Bank to be close to their beloved son and his family.
Rose was an avid reader and truly loved animals with a knack for training them. But what made her happiest was time spent with her family.
Her loving husband of 60 years John, and her sister Marie have predeceased Rose. Rose is survived by her son Michael, his wife Maria and her cherished grandchildren John and Victoria.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 16th from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, August 17th at 10:15 am at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft. An entombment will follow at Clover Leaf Cemetery, Woodbridge.
