Salvatore M. Carbone, 39 of Hazlet died surrounded by the love of his family on Dec. 31st at his home.
Sal was born and raised in Brooklyn an Avenue U Boy at heart. He was the pizza eating champion several times, devouring 24 slices of Brooklyn pizza in 12 minutes. Sal attended Our Lady of Grace grade school and went on to graduate from John Dewey High. He started his career at UPS and switched careers to join Local #3 Electrical Union.
Sal was a hard working man, installing high hat fixtures in every family member and friends home that would let him. Sal was always there to lend a hand at the drop of a hat for anyone that needed him for ANYthing. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, enjoyed family poker tournaments, a nice glass of Glenlivet Scotch and playing pool. Sal loved to workout and get his haircut every Friday afternoon. He always dressed to perfection.
Sal enjoyed cooking and loved to eat even more. His children were the darling of his eyes especially Daddy’s little Gina. His strength, advice and positive attitude serves as inspiration to all.
Surviving is his wife, Kristin Carbone; his parents Gina and Joe Carbone, Brooklyn; two children, Gina and Anthony Carbone, at home; his siblings, Angela and Jerry Camacho, Fords, NJ, Joseph and Danielle Carbone, Fords, NJ, Louisa and Michael Spano, Lindenhurst, NY; several nieces, nephews and God children as well as a very large loving family.
Visitation Tues. Jan. 5th 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial, Wed. Jan. 6th, 10 am at St. Benedicts RC Church, Holmdel. Entombment Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. For messages of condolence please visit www.holmdelfuneralhome.
com In accordance with New Jersey Covid 19 Executive Orders, the funeral home must limit the number of family and guests and all are required to wear face coverings. We chose Sal and Kristen. I could not have made a better choice in my life. He showed love and affection to Matteo that was so genuine that I knew that he would be a great role model always.
