To Sam Scerbo’s family: I worked with Sam at Shore Regional HS for a number of years. What a great guy and he always had funny things to say. Some of the stories he told me, I will not repeat here. Hilarious. When I used to go to Monmouth Park, I would look for Sam and make a bet at his window. I can’t remember how many years he worked there. A great biology teacher, and a good friend. My sincere condolences to his dear family.

My condolences on the passing of your husband/dad.. Mr. Scerbo was a great person and a great role model. He was always happy, optimistic, and inspiring. He was a great teacher, and I recall that he is why I joined the Key Club. I clearly recall selling bicentennial license plates in 1976 to raise money for the club.. Condolences and prayers for all of you. Jeff Antoon

Rest in peace Mr. Scerbo. Not only was Mr. Scerbo a science teacher of mine in high school, and my basketball coach, he was also a very close family friend as well as his wife Barbara (Mrs. Scerbo to me). Many of my childhood and teenage memories have Mr. Scerbo in them. The periodic drop in on a weekend evening to the Scerbos for an impromptu visit with them where Mrs. Scerbo always had Entenmann's Cakes and coffee on hand. While Dad and Mr. and Mrs. Scerbo would visit, I would go play cards with Mary using red heart candies as our form of winnings. During the summer, enjoying a BBQ and swimming with the Scerbos at our house in West Long Branch. To the entire Scerbo Family, especically Mrs. Scerbo and kids, it is with my sincerest condolences and my deepest sympathies I send to you all during this time. I will keep you all in my prayers.
