Saverio “Sam” M. DeFilippis, 92, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully Saturday July 8th.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Sam and his wife, Diana moved to Holmdel in 2000. Sam serviced his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Sam was the owner and operator of Sam’s Trucking, a meat broker.

Most of all he loved his family, especially being called Uncle Sam.
