Sol Laperdon passed away May 1, 2025, peacefully in his home in Lakewood, NJ. He was 95 years old.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, uncle, great uncle, and brother.

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Sara. He is survived by his children Doreen (Alonzo) Addison, Lloyd (Mindy) Laperdon, Rhonda Laperdon, his grandchildren Nicole (Rohan), Brianne (Dan), Tarra (Tommy) and great granddaughter Karishma. Also by his sister Gert Kaplan, Pat Wilson his significant other, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Sol was born in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Tildon High School, and from Baruch City College, Manhattan where he majored in accounting. Sol was in the men’s retail business and owned many stores in NJ. He was a Korean War Veteran.

Sol loved to dance, play shuﬄeboard, billiards, sing with his sister Gert and play the harmonica. Most of all he loved to go out to eat with family and friends. He was greatly loved and will be missed by dear friends and family.

Funeral Service Sunday, May 4th, 11:00 am at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch, NJ. Burial to follow in Brothers of Israel Cemetery, West Long Branch, NJ.

We heard the sad news of Sol's passing. Sol was very special to our family (and Sara and the rest of the Laperdon family as well), so many memories going way back in time, all good memories, filled with love and laughter, casinos/Atlantic City and teaching Marian the Yiddish word "Shpilkush" (ants in the pants). Sol called us not that long ago and sounded great, he always checked in on our Mom (Bebe) every few months and it always put a smile upon her face whenever he would call. We love you Sol and we love the entire Laperdon family, our condolences go out to all of you.

Dad you were more than a father in law, you were a friend, a role model, and a strength for me. I love you, and will miss you deeply. RIP DAD!
