Thomas P. O’Connor, 85, Monroe, NJ, passed away Wednesday January 4th at home. Mr. O’Connor was born in New York, NY and lived in Englewood, NJ for many years before settling in Monroe Township. He served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. Mr. O’Connor graduated from Manhattan College and retired as a Civil Engineer for the City of New York. Mr. O’Connor was predeceased by his wife, Patricia in 2008. Surviving are his children Daniel O’Connor and his wife Ellen, Ian O’Connor and his wife Tracey, Rita Kennelly and her husband Steve, Mary Stout and her husband Douglas, Eileen Haftek and her husband Gary, his brother Edward O’Connor; his sisters Mary McGrath and Patricia Farrell and eleven grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 7th at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck.
