Valentino Gabrieli, 80 of West Long Branch passed away Thursday, November 15th at the Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
Mr. Gabrieli was born in Taranto, Italy and lived in Naples Italy. On March 13th, 1955 he married Imma Migliaccio in Naples. In 1956, they came to America and settled in Brooklyn, NY. In Brooklyn he was a Dental Technician and opened his own office, Custom Craft Dental Lab. He retired from the company in 2001. When he retired he and his wife moved from Staten Island to West Long Branch, where they could be close to their children. He was a Parishioner of St. Jerome’s RC Church, West Long Branch.
He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Giuseppe and Domenico Gabrieli.
Surviving is his wife Imma Migliaccio Gabrieli; two daughters and their husbands, Toni Gabrieli and Gary Schoelkopf, West Long Branch and Roberta and Joseph Lipanovski, Tinton Falls; two grandchildren, Alec and Jack Lipanovski; two sisters, Maria Bocchini and Anna Di Benedetto, Italy; brother Mirko Gabrieli, Italy.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 18th, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral mass Monday, Nov. 19th, 9:30 AM, St. Jerome’s RC Church, Wall Street, West Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown. Even though my memories of Zio Valentino were from when I was a young girl, they are still so strong. As the holiday nears, I remember my favorite Thanksgivings were spent in Staten Island at Zia Imma and Zio Valentino's. I am sorry I can't be at the service, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you.
