Victoria Buono, 87, of Oakhurst, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 28th. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Born in New York, Victoria lived in Essex County before moving to Monmouth County, Bradley Beach and then settling in Oakhurst. She retired as the Administrator of Records for the Essex County Sheriff’s Office. Following her retirement from Essex County, Victoria was partner in a Financial service company with her husband, Ralph Buono. Vickie was the Administrative Executive running the Company in multiple states.
Victoria walked 3 miles daily, took art classes, and practiced yoga. She took great pleasure in cooking, particularly Italian food and Red Velvet Cake for her family. Hawaii, Acapulco, Germany, Switzerland and the Mayan Pyramids are a few places she enjoyed visiting. Most of all, Victoria loved being with her family.
Victoria was predeceased by her son Anthony Curtis and her daughter Vickie Berry. Surviving is her husband of 35 years, Ralph; her son Robert Curtis; her step-son Jason Buono & his wife Tara; her step-daughter Danielle Lynch & her husband William; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, November 4th at 10:00 am at Star of the Sea RC Church, 101 Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch.
