Ginny Hamlin, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & friend passed away on 07/16/2024 at the age of 82.
Ginny was born in Jersey City, NJ on May 12, 1942. She graduated from Union Hill High School in Jersey City and attended Montclair State University.
Ginny married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, David Hamlin in 1961. They lived for over 30 years & raised their 2 children David & Donna in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, before moving to Colts Neck, NJ. Married for 50 years, Dave predeceased Ginny in 2011.
Ginny is predeceased by her sister Christine and is survived by her sister JoAnn. Ginny’s legacy continues through her children, David and Donna Hamlin, along with her daughter-in-law Deborah Hamlin. She was also a beloved sister-in-law to Ron and Marge Hamlin.
Ginny was a proud grandmother to Danielle (Joe Spagnola), Dillon, Dalton, Davianna, Shawn, and David II. She was blessed with great-grandchildren Lorenza and Dean Spagnola, who brought immense joy to her life. Also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Ginny dedicated over 20 years of her career to GS Imaging in Carlstadt, NJ before joining the family business, Network Transportation. Her life long friends included her North Jersey card group, the shore crew and the ladies of the Martha Mary Guild.
A dedicated parishioner at Saint Mary’s Church in Colts Neck, NJ, Ginny was an active member of the Martha Mary Guild, where she contributed her time and efforts to various church activities and community service.
Ginny will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be remembered forever. May she rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 21st from 2:00-6:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel NJ 07733. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, July 22nd at 9:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 1 Phalanx Rd, Colts Neck. An entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum.
