Vivian Driscoll, 91 of Ocean Twp., passed away Thursday at the St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mrs. Driscoll was born in Long Branch and lived here most of his life before moving to Ocean Twp. in 2007. She attended Star of the Sea Academy; she attended the Newark College of Engineering. She was a communicant of St. Michaels RC Church, Long Branch and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of Jean Conrow Ladies Auxiliary of Monmouth Medical Center. She was the President of the PTA of the Elberon School, a member of the guild at Star of the Sea Academy. She was formerly a director and treasurer of the Long Branch Public Health Nursing. Past President of the Women's Club of Long Branch and a friend of the Long Branch Library. She was a member of the San Alfonso Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband, Col. Joseph A. Driscoll, in 1975 and her niece Ann Driscoll-Vaughn in 1974. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Coats, Ocean Twp.; two nephews Eugene and Richard Driscoll, Los Angeles; a niece Mary and her husband Larry Varnado, Mobile, Al.; a cousin Paul Kiernan, Long Branch. Visiting hours will be Sunday, 2 to 5 pm at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Monday at St. Michaels RC Church, Long Branch.
